Services & prices

What a call costs, before you make it.

Six things I do. Four have the price printed here; the other two I price on the phone once you describe the job. Either way you hear the number before I drive out, and it is the number you pay.

You hear the price on the phone, before I start driving. Nothing is added when I arrive.

Houses & apartments

Locked out, or just bought the place.

Two different calls, same door. One is 1am and the keys are on the kitchen counter. The other is the afternoon you closed and you’d rather not wonder who still has a key to your front door.

  • Home lockout — $95. Front door or back, any hour of the night.
  • Rekey — from $25 per lock. Same locks, new keys, old keys dead. Priced per lock.
  • Deadbolt installation — from $120. Fitted, aligned and keyed to work.

Cars

Standing next to a locked car?

That is the call I get most, and the one I built the business around. Tell me the cross streets or the garage level, and whether the keys are inside, lost, or the fob has died. Stay with the car and keep your phone on you.

Car lockouts are $85, quoted on the phone before I drive, and I’m under thirty minutes anywhere in the metro — any hour, including the ones when the garage is empty and the attendant has gone home.

Businesses & safes

Offices, storefronts, and the safe nobody has the combination to.

Commercial master key systems are quoted per building: one key for the doors you choose, separate keys for the doors you don’t. Call with the number of doors and who needs to open what, and you’ll have a number.

Safes are the same. Tell me the make, the size and what kind of lock is on it — dial, keypad, key — and I price the opening on the phone before I drive out. If I can’t price it from your description, I’ll say so.

Questions

What people ask while I’m on the way.

How fast can you get here?

Under thirty minutes across the Denver metro, any hour. Give me the cross streets or the garage level and I’ll tell you on the phone how long it will take from where I am.

Will the price change when you arrive?

No. You hear the price on the phone before I drive out, and that is what you pay. Car lockouts are $85, home lockouts $95, rekeys from $25 a lock, deadbolts from $120. Nothing is added at the door.

Do you really answer at 3am?

Yes, and it is me, not an answering service. That is when people actually need a locksmith, so that is when the phone is on. Call (720) 555-0643.

Are you licensed?

Licensed and bonded, eleven years working the Denver metro.

Should I rekey after buying a house?

Yes. You have no idea how many copies of the old key exist. Rekeying keeps your locks and gives you new keys that the old ones can’t match — from $25 a lock, however many doors you have. One customer did the whole house the afternoon he closed.

What should I have ready when I call?

Where you are (cross streets, garage level, building), what’s locked (car, house, safe), and for a car, the make and color. That is enough for me to quote it and start driving.

The numbered combination dial of a safe, close enough to read the notches.

Ready when you are

One call, one price, under thirty minutes.

Every price above is quoted before I drive out. Tell me what’s locked and where.
