Locked out? Call me. Under thirty minutes.

If you’re standing next to a locked car in a parking garage right now, this is the whole page: call, tell me where you are, hear the price, and I’m driving. I answer my own phone at any hour — no dispatcher, no answering service — and you pay what I quoted, not a dollar more when I arrive.

  • Car lockout $85
  • Home lockout $95
  • Rekey from $25 per lock

Standing next to the car?

Here is what happens in the next thirty minutes.

The call I get most is from a parking garage, at an hour when nobody wants to be in one. It goes the same way every time.

  1. You call. I answer.

Not an answering service, not a dispatcher three states away who has never seen a Denver parking garage. Tell me what’s locked and where — the cross streets, the garage level, the color of the car.

  2. You hear the price before I move.

A car lockout is $85. A home lockout is $95. Anything else, I price on the phone while you’re still on it. If you say no, we hang up friends and nobody has driven anywhere.

  3. I’m there in under thirty.

Anywhere in the Denver metro, any hour. Stay with the car, keep your phone on you, and I’ll call when I’m pulling in.

  4. You pay what I quoted.

Nothing gets added when I get there — no arriving, sucking teeth, and doubling the number. One customer put it simply: he was there in twenty minutes and charged what he quoted.

The way I work

Three things, every call, for eleven years.

01

I answer my own phone.

At 3am, because that’s when people actually need a locksmith. The voice on the phone is the person who shows up.

02

The price comes first.

Quoted before I drive out. You decide with the number already in your ear, and it is the number you pay.

03

Under thirty minutes.

Across the Denver metro. Eleven years of parking garages, apartment stairwells and back doors — I know the way.

While you wait

Four things not to do before I get there.

Thirty minutes is long enough to talk yourself into something you’ll regret. A lockout is $85 or $95; a bent door frame or a cracked window is not.

  • Don’t jam a coat hanger down the window. It works in films. In a real door it tears the weather seal and can snap the lock linkage, and then you need a body shop as well as a locksmith.
  • Don’t try the credit card.A deadbolt doesn’t care about a credit card, and a latch that does will usually take the card — and sometimes the door trim — with it.
  • Don’t break a window to get in.A small back window sounds cheap until you’ve priced the glass and the frame. The lockout is $95. Call first.
  • Stay somewhere lit, with your phone on you.In a parking garage, go up to the street level or the attendant’s booth. I’ll call when I’m pulling in.
