Summit Ridge is a walk-in ski and snowboard rental shop in Breckenridge, Colorado. We would rather have your gear standing on the rack than have you standing in a line.

The owner

The first morning is the whole trip.

“I’ve been fitting boots in this town for twenty-three seasons. We’re two blocks from the gondola and we open before the lifts do.”

That is the shop in two sentences. A family lands in Breckenridge late; nobody wants to spend the first morning of the trip standing in a rental line. So call ahead, and the gear is ready before you arrive.

Skis, snowboards, demo skis, kids’ packages, tuning and boot fitting. That is the whole shop.

How it works

The rack does the waiting.

One phone call the night before: who is skiing, who is riding, sizes, how many days. When you walk in, the packages are already sized and standing together — the only thing left to fit is the boots.

The rest of the shop is simple. Multi-day rentals take 15% off the whole rental, kids’ packages run $28 a day, and the demo wall is $68 a day for anyone who wants to ski something sharper than a rental.
