How it started
The documents that did the most good were the ordinary ones.
I spent fourteen years in a downtown trusts and estates group. It was excellent training, and a strange place to learn what most families actually need, which is a will that exists: written, signed, and findable, at a price that doesn’t stop them getting it.
So I opened this practice with the fees printed and the billable hour left behind. An estate plan shouldn’t be billed like litigation. Three meetings and it’s done, usually inside three weeks.
